Experian Alternatives: 10 Similar iPhone Apps in 2026

By App Store Tracker Editorial · Updated May 25, 2026 — live App Store data verified 1 min ago

      The short version

Experian gives you a free credit score, report monitoring, alerts, and score-boost tools by linking bills. The closest US substitute is myFICO, which tracks scores and reports from all three bureaus side by side at a near-identical 4.84 rating. For a fully free, ad-supported option, Credit Karma covers scores and monitoring, while TransUnion and myEquifax cover the other two bureaus directly.

People look for Experian alternatives when boost features fail to link their bank, security concerns surface, or they want scores from a bureau other than Experian. The apps below share Experian's core job: checking your credit score, viewing reports, monitoring for changes with alerts, and offering tools to build credit or compare loan and card offers. Some come from the other major US bureaus, others are score-tracking services or credit-building tools, and a few serve markets outside the US. We ranked these alternatives by embedding similarity against Experian's feature set, then weighed each app's live App Store rating and review volume so the order reflects relevance and real user sentiment, not marketing copy.

        #1Experian: Credit Score

        Experian Ltd.

        Free
        91% similar
        Get on App Store

        Why it's similar

This is Experian's UK app, built by Experian Ltd., offering free credit-score checks plus credit-card and loan comparison with eligibility tools. It shares the US app's core score-and-report focus and the same trusted Experian brand.

        How it differs

The UK app serves British users, so its scoring model, lenders, and comparison offers don't match the US Experian. With no ratings yet on this listing it has no track record here, making it a regional version rather than a true alternative for US users.

      2. 2ClearScore: Check Credit Score icon

        #2ClearScore: Check Credit Score

        Clear Score Technology Ltd.

        5.0(22)
        Paid
        88% similar
        Get on App Store

        Why it's similar

ClearScore matches Experian's score-and-report focus and goes further with Credit Health tools to improve your standing over time. Both let you monitor your credit and understand what affects your score, appealing to users focused on building credit.

        How it differs

ClearScore is a UK-focused service with only 22 ratings on this listing, so its data and offers target British users rather than Experian's US base. It's a paid app with in-app purchases, and its small review count gives it far less proof than Experian's millions.

      3. 3myFICO - Credit Score Tracking icon

        #3myFICO - Credit Score Tracking

        FICO

        4.8(46.7K)
        Paid
        87% similar
        Get on App Store

        Why it's similar

myFICO is the closest US substitute: it shows your FICO Score (used by most top lenders) and lets you compare reports from Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax side by side. Its 4.82 rating across 46K reviews makes it a trusted, all-bureau monitoring tool like Experian.

        How it differs

myFICO is a paid subscription with no free tier like Experian's, and it centers on the FICO scoring model rather than Experian's own score. It focuses purely on tracking and reports, skipping the bill-linking score-boost feature Experian promotes.

      4. 4Credit Karma — Credit Score icon

        #4Credit Karma — Credit Score

        Credit Karma, Inc.

        4.8(225)
        Paid
        87% similar
        Get on App Store

        Why it's similar

Credit Karma matches Experian's free-score-and-monitoring model, offering credit scores, reports, and monitoring alerts plus guidance on what affects your score. Both are no-cost tools for users who want regular visibility into their credit.

        How it differs

This listing is Credit Karma's Canadian app, so its bureau data and offers serve Canadian users rather than Experian's US base. With only 225 ratings here it has a thin track record, and its offer-driven revenue model differs from Experian's subscription upsells.

      5. 5TransUnion® icon

        #5TransUnion®

        TransUnion

        4.6(38.6K)
        Paid
        87% similar
        Get on App Store

        Why it's similar

TransUnion, from one of the three major bureaus, covers the same core ground as Experian: credit scores, reports, and monitoring directly from the source. Users who want bureau-direct data will find a familiar score-and-alert experience, and its 4.59 rating across 38K reviews shows broad use.

        How it differs

TransUnion reports its own bureau's data rather than Experian's, so scores can differ between the two. It lacks Experian's bill-linking boost feature, focusing instead on straightforward bureau monitoring rather than active score-building tools.

      6. 6myEquifax icon

        #6myEquifax

        Equifax

        4.8(26.9K)
        Paid

        Get on App Store

        Why it's similar

myEquifax, from the third major bureau, provides Experian-style credit scores, reports, and monitoring straight from Equifax. Its 4.83 rating across 26K reviews makes it a well-regarded, bureau-direct option for users who want to track that specific bureau's data.

        How it differs

myEquifax surfaces Equifax data rather than Experian's, so the score and report details differ. It centers on monitoring and report access without Experian's bill-linking boost tool, making it a complementary bureau check rather than a feature-for-feature swap.

      7. 7GoodScore: Credit Score App icon

        #7GoodScore: Credit Score App

        Why it's similar

GoodScore shares Experian's mission of building your credit, offering score checks, detailed reports, and expert advice aimed at reaching higher score tiers. It targets users actively working to improve their credit standing.

        How it differs

GoodScore serves the Indian market, building scores for Indian users rather than Experian's US base, so its bureaus and advice don't transfer. With no ratings yet it has no track record, making it irrelevant for US users comparing it to Experian.

      8. 8Splendi icon

        #8Splendi

        Xpert Decision Systems (XDS)

        Why it's similar

Splendi shares Experian's credit-wellness focus, helping users understand their credit profile and improve their financial standing, powered by a leading credit bureau. Both center on visibility and improvement of your credit.

        How it differs

Splendi is a South African app from credit bureau XDS, so its data and tools serve that market rather than Experian's US users. With no ratings yet it has no track record, ruling it out as a practical alternative for US-based Experian users.

      9. 9CredAbility - Credit score icon

        #9CredAbility - Credit score

        CredAbility Ltd

        Free
        86% similar

        Why it's similar

CredAbility overlaps with Experian's comparison tools, letting you check credit cards and loans and see approval chances without affecting your score. Both help users make smarter borrowing decisions based on their credit profile.

        How it differs

CredAbility is a UK-focused comparison service with no ratings yet on this listing, so its offers and approval data serve British users. It leans toward product comparison rather than Experian's full score-monitoring and report suite, narrowing its scope.

      10. 10Bolster: Get Your Credit Right icon

        #10Bolster: Get Your Credit Right

        Cable92 LLC

        4.7(507)
        Free · IAP
        86% similar
        Get on App Store

        Why it's similar

Bolster combines credit building, error disputing, and financial insights in one free app, echoing Experian's score-improvement and monitoring goals. Both serve users with bad or no credit who want active tools to grow their score, and Bolster is free with a 4.65 rating.

        How it differs

Bolster is a smaller US service with only 507 ratings, so it lacks Experian's scale and proven reliability. Its dispute-and-build focus differs from Experian's bureau-direct reporting, positioning it as a credit-building companion rather than a full monitoring replacement.

How we ranked these 10 alternatives

      Embedding similarity

Every app in our database carries a dense vector embedding derived from its title, subtitle, full description, and category metadata. To find apps similar to Experian®, we compute cosine distance against every other app and surface the closest 60 candidates. The similarity score shown on each pick is 1 - distance/2 clamped to [0,1] — 100% means the embedding spaces are identical, 0% means orthogonal.

      Re-ranking signals

We then re-rank the candidate set using current App Store rating and review-count signals so a 4.8-star app with 100,000 reviews ranks above a 4.5-star app with 200 reviews even when their embedding distance is similar. Apps that haven't shipped an update in 12 months are filtered out before re-ranking.

      Refresh cadence

The similarity cache is recomputed weekly. Live App Store data (rating, review count) is verified every 6 hours.
