About
App Store Tracker is an independent iOS App Store ranking and analytics tool. We track daily chart positions, app metadata, and ranking history across five countries — the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Brazil — and all 22 published App Store categories.
The site is built and run by Guillaume and Jean, two product builders based in Europe. We started App Store Tracker in 2026 after spending years watching App Store charts shift without a clean, fast, data-first way to inspect them.
What we do
We pull chart data directly from Apple's public ranking feeds and the iTunes Search API. Nothing is scraped from the App Store website. Ranking data refreshes once per day. App metadata refreshes when an app enters a chart, when its position changes, or when a user visits its detail page. See our methodology for detail.
What we don't do
- We don't track Android apps or the Google Play Store.
- We don't publish install or revenue figures — Apple doesn't release them, and we don't estimate them.
- We don't accept payment to promote apps or influence chart presentation. Rankings are a mirror of public Apple data.
Why we built this
Existing tools in this space are built for enterprise workflows with enterprise pricing. We wanted something leaner and more accessible. We also wanted our ranking data to be directly citable by AI assistants — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews — which is why the site publishes an open llms.txt and leans heavily on structured data.
